The Colorado Association of Professional Sureties is a non-profit organization representing the PEOPLE OF COLORADO and our industry. All donations maybe tax deductible.

CAPS is comprised of a group of licensed compassionate bail bonding agents giving back to their community and paying forward in an attempt to educate the general population about the laws concerning their Constitutional Rights to bail.

CAPS concerns are also tailored to the continued instruction of our members and discussion of authorized practices of applicable laws within the bail industry to all law enforcement agencies, the Attorney General, legislators, District Attorney’s, and Judges.

CAPS is deeply concerned with the misrepresentation and un-necessary and even illegal requirements posed by the courts through the use of Pre-Trial Supervision requirements.

This may be as little as a small fee, up to and including paying for expensive monthly ankle monitoring, drug and alcohol testing and even removing your rights to gun ownership without even being tried and found guilty of a crime.

If you’ve ever been arrested and had to comply with Pre-Trial conditions and supervision in order to be released from incarceration, then we politely ask you to take a short few minutes to fill out our anonymous and confidential questionnaire regarding your experience.

YOU ARE INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY….”WE THE PEOPLE” HAVE RIGHTS

Until you are proven guilty then the only thing you have is an allegation against you not a conviction.

To share in the responsibility of formulating processes to provide sound laws concerning the protection, preservation and continued availability of bail for the citizens of Colorado regarding their 8th amendment right to be able to obtain and secure a bail bond through the use of a professionally licensed bail provider.

With an ostensible duty to train and continuous education of our profession members and to inform and educate the general public by providing a positive role model in order to achieve the absolute greatest degree of parity and equality for all persons, not based on an individual’s income, but rather need.
