Melissa Davies is an internationally respected Consultant, Trainer, Facilitator and Executive Coach who consistently delivers a deep level of cultural team training and leadership development skills to her clients. Ms. Davies specializes in group facilitation services for vision and mission development, as well as the development and delivery of highly- engaging training sessions. These sessions focus on leadership development and coaching; the Myers-Briggs Type indicator, Emotional Intelligence EQ-i 2.0 and EQ 360; the Pearman Personality Integrator; interpersonal communication; conflict resolution, change management, workforce development, emotional intelligence, and generational diversity.

As the president of Wise Ways Consulting, Ms. Davies works extensively with corporations as well as U.S. Federal Agencies. Clients include the U.S. Army, the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and other Agencies within the Department of Defense. Ms. Davies has a one-world focus to her services. She works to help her clients understand and respect their diverse work teams and learn how to take advantage of unique skills and perspectives that are found in diverse teams and environments.

She began her consulting career in her native Canada where she earned an honors degree from the University of Victoria in British Columbia. Melissa’s education and experiences include organizational communication, interpersonal communication, organizational development, diversity awareness, and sustainable innovation. She has both systems thinking and behavioral management skills, which provide for a holistic understanding of individuals and their roles within company innovation and change processes.

Over the past decade, Melissa’s work has repeatedly taken her beyond Washington, D.C. She has been called on to work with organizations from Abu Dhabi and Dubai, United Arab Emirates to Manila, Philippines and Yokosuka, Japan. She believes in a hands-on approach to working with her clients to build a level of trust and understanding for their communication styles and needs.

With over twenty-eight years experience in results-focused facilitation, consulting, training, and executive coaching for non-profits, private and public sector clients, Ms. Davies knows how to quickly establish rapport with audiences and clients. Her ability to put both junior and senior leadership teams at ease allows her to effectively lead strategic planning and project improvement programs as well as team effectiveness sessions to elevate people to the next level of leadership success.

Melissa has recently published her first book, “How Not to Act Like a Bleep at Work”, a business parable following the journey of a mid-level manager learning to be behaviorally proficient and build her team. Over the years, she has published many articles focusing on leadership and staff development.
